Phasebridge

About Phasebridge

We help American deep tech cross borders.

Our Mission

Bridging U.S. deep tech and international commercialization opportunities

Phasebridge is an initiative supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation's Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (TIP). We bridge the gap between US deep-tech startups and international partnership opportunities.

We believe many of the best breakthrough innovations from American research labs will reach commercial scale only with the right international partners. Phasebridge is an initiative that builds those partnerships: through funding programs, workshops and the relationships that connect startups with labs, manufacturers and agencies abroad.

Our first funding program, Deep Tech Passport, is an NSF-backed international partnership project funding pilot. It follows a three-year series of workshops, supported by NSF, covering Taiwan, Singapore, Korea and Japan.

What We Do

01

Funding Program

An NSF-funded pilot program awarding $250K to each of 16 U.S. deep-tech startups for partnership projects in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore.

02

Workshop Experience

Multi-day bilateral workshops connecting startups, investors, government agencies, and industry partners across borders. They inform how we select and support startups.

03

Ecosystem Building

Creating lasting connections between innovation hubs in the US, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.

Our Track Record

The funding program builds on a workshop series

Each workshop convened more than 80 leaders from government, venture capital, industry, and deep-tech startups to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation, and strengthen the global deep-tech ecosystem.
